It is hard to develop good habits and stick to them. You know what you should do. You know you feel better if you exercise. What is it that is getting in your way?
Have you settled into the fact that you are old, tired all the time or alway s going to be that same size? I know I did.
I would look in the mirror and see my old self. Then I would see photos on Facebook and think “wow !who is that?” It turns out I was also not seeing me for me.
My journey started over two years ago in the beginning in support of a friend who had lost their son to a drug overdose. Slowly I was benefitting from the daily habit. Then we started going every other day until I stopped going all together. I go to the doctor he says I have pre-diabetes, I had to make changes quick.
I started to go to the gym everyday. My knees started to become a problem so I started doing the bike instead.
What I learned was this:
- You can’t blame anyone for not exercising but yourself
- Only you can do this
- Only 30 minutes a day keeps you healthy. Don’t overdo!
- Everyone has different opinions
- Watch out for sabatagors
- There is no such thing as a quick fix. In fact it just makes you fatter.
- Long term changes take time.
- Good shoes & socks are important.
- The payoff of feeling good is incredible.
Stop reading about it and JUST DO IT!

“Watch out for sabotages” – so important! Thanks!
